Even though I didn’t spend much time on it I found out that my blog had exceeded my initial goals in terms of monthly page views and had received a lot of traffic from Facebook, which was completely unexpected given how little time I had invested in it.
The ROTI (return on time invested) on Facebook has been phenomenal compared to the other social media channels I used to advertise my site.
If you’re curious about how I got nearly 8,000 new blog readers (all from Facebook) without sending a single email to anyone on my list, read on.
At the moment. Pinterest is my major Traffic Point..However, I still use FB and still spend 30 mins per day with FB groups and Posting On FB.
Here are the steps you need to follow to get More traffic from Facebook to your blog site.
Create a Facebook page
It goes without saying that the first step is to Create a Facebook page for your blog and invite all of your friends to join.
You might think that’s a little excessive, yet it makes perfect sense.
The following are the reasons:
Inviting your FB friends( I have around 2000 friends on my personal FB account) to the Business page is an excellent method to communicate with them on a more personal level ( most of them will probably never see the post in their busy timelines).
It is likely that if they are actually interested in your content, they will like it and allow your postings to be displayed in their newsfeed.
You can utilise your Facebook profile to promote your most recent blog posts and updates while avoiding spamming your whole list of friends in the process.
You won’t get any meaningful traffic if you promote to 2000 people when only 10 people are interested in your product or service.
Increased click-through rates will result from narrowing down the audience you’re attempting to attract and letting those who aren’t already on your friend’s list to see your latest postings.
Don’t forget to include a Facebook page widget on your blog after you’ve completed the installation.
This will allow visitors to stay in touch with you and will serve as a reminder of your blog months down the road when their hectic schedules take over.
Because I’ve been constantly updating it with all of the new content, my Facebook page has recently passed the 2,000-like milestone. In addition, I’ve been marketing it in several Facebook groups as explained in the below section..
Link your Facebook page to your profile
People are more often searching for you by your first and last name, rather than by your blog’s name (especially if you were featured somewhere else online).
As a result, you can rest assured that they will be able to locate a direct link to your blog as well as your official Facebook page.
After I made my FB page Digitallydiv Agency way back in 2020, I linked it to my personal profile so that it would appear underneath my profile photo, making it an obvious spot for curious eyes to search for more information.
You can accomplish this by designating the “Work” section of your Facebook page as the “Owner.”

Why would you want to do that? First and foremost, you have accomplished something incredible, and you should be proud of it!

Announce your blog to the world
The very first thing I did on the day my blog went online was to share the news with a friend via a simple Facebook post, which she appreciated.
To be quite honest, I felt uncomfortable advertising myself and a little nervous about putting myself out there at the same time.
I understand that many of you are hesitant to use Facebook as a traffic source, but you should never feel embarrassed about anything you have developed. And, with time, you become accustomed to it.
Whatever stage your blog is at, whether you’ve already launched it or are preparing to do so, create some excitement about it among your friends and publish at least one FB Post in which you merely announce the existence of your blog. (Plus, you never know who you might be able to assist or inspire!)
Join Facebook group
Unquestionably, participation in blogging support groups is the source of the majority of my Facebook traffic.
For a long time, the concept seemed bizarre to me until I came across a blogging and business group called Blogging Boost, which changed my perspective.
Apart from discovering a super sportive community, making some amazing connections, and learning so much from other bloggers, I was also able to promote my blog, assist others with my content and replies, as well as receive massive traffic from participating in daily threads. Be active in Facebook groups
Even more important than simply joining these Facebook groups is becoming active in them, interacting with people, and giving back to the areas in which they are located.
Not only can you not simply drop your links and hope for the best, but you must also plan ahead.
Contribute to the discussions that others are having, attempt to assist others when you can, and read other people’s contributions from the promotional threads.
For all of my blog entries, I adhere to the ratio of 20 percent invention and 80 percent promotion.
To compensate for this limited frequency of posting, I heavily promote my work on social media.
In these communities, I often spend anywhere between 5 and 30 minutes each day chatting with members, promoting my site, and learning, and it clearly pays off.
However, there are a few things you should know before participating in a Facebook group:
- Check the rules of each group to see if self-promotion is permitted and adhere to them (or in what capacity).
- Make an effort to be helpful. Before dropping a link to one of your articles, respond to other users’ questions and add value to their lives.
- Participate in daily threads and communicate with other members of the community (as some require reciprocating).
- Choose a couple of groupings and give them the highest importance. When you become a “regular” in a community, you have the opportunity to make more meaningful connections.
- Make good use of your time! If you notice that your comments and posts are frequently repeated, consider creating pre-written templates for them, or keeping track of your time to ensure that you are making the most of it.
Invest in Facebook Ads
In order to maintain a successful Facebook page, you need rely on organic engagement to grow your audience. However, owing to the current Facebook algorithms, this will take a significant amount of time.
For this reason, investing in a few Facebook ads every now and then or promoting a post that receives positive feedback is a terrific method to enhance exposure while also increasing your likes, engagement, and blog traffic.

Start your own Facebook Group

Another advantage of creating your own Facebook group is that you have complete control over the rules.
- As the group administrator, you have the ability to promote your content or offers (where in some other groups that is not allowed).
- Every day, more people discover you as a result of Facebook searches.
- You are widely regarded as an authority and a thought leader in your field.
- For your blog, you can build a community that includes people who are not only regular blog readers.
- Individuals can be invited to join your group, and group members can be encouraged to like your Facebook page!
- You can give back to your community by creating exclusive content, hosting FB live events, and more!
